60 years in mobile traffic safety for Berghaus

Decades before vision zero became a recognised term in road safety, Peter Berghaus was already committed to helping to prevent deaths, or even injuries, at work zones and road construction sites. The company’s vision gave rise to the world’s first mobile radio traffic light back in the 1960s.

At Intertraffic, visitors to the company’s stand will see how more and more products for work zones and road construction sites have been added. Indeed, over its 60-year history, Berghaus has developed into an internationally recognised manufacturer of mobile traffic lights; it has 30 years’ experience in mobile crash barriers with its ProTec range; and a wide range of other innovative products for traffic safety such as mobile warning trailers, LED warning light systems and modular large pole systems.

Today, Berghaus is part of Work Zone Safety Group of companies, the largest temporary traffic and safety solutions specialists in Europe, operating traffic services companies in 12 countries with over 4,000 employees. Companies within the group include AVS (Germany), Chevron Traffic Management (UK), Fero (Belgium, Netherlands) and Ramudden (Nordics), as well as HRS (UK), focused on digitalising mobility and safety in work zones.

Intertraffic visitors will be invited to take a ride through a virtual construction site, to experience the company’s products and services in 360° without any risk or noise.
