The design of the RS 5 controller emphasises simple installation, with a return to a back plane, or motherboard, approach, rather than the front entry method of connecting switch outputs in its predecessor.
The RS 5 also has a 7-inch touch display that can be accessed remotely and remote personnel can see exactly what is shown on the display. The new equipment also has the ability for several different users to log in.
One of the major advantages of the RS 5 over its predecessors is its scalability, together with easier operation and maintenance, said product specialist Tomas Mizera.
The RS 5 is scheduled to complete its certification by the end of this year, with official release to service in 2025.
