It also features simple installation and low power consumption, with the system able to be commissioned in just 120 minutes at most.
The low power consumption of just 0.14W/hour means that the units can be installed precisely where required, without the need for cables. When equipped with the optional battery and solar panel, the Triplesign can operate even in remote locations. This also means that it will not be affected by power outages. When displaying a message, the VMS system draws no power at all.
Rugged and durable, the VMS sign can be used in the toughest climactic applications and in a wide range of installations. Ambient temperatures ranging from -40°C to 60°C should cause no issues.
Because the system has no bulbs, minimal wring and a very simple design, maintenance needs are minimal with the only attention required being the occasional cleaning of the surfaces. The patented, non-binding mechanism ensures that the various panels do not risk being out of sync or off-track. The mechanical components should last up to 20 years, when they will need to be replaced with the task just taking 60 minutes.
The units can be used in a wide array of situations, highlighting variable speed limits or adverse road conditions. Linked to sensors, the Triplesign system can protect drivers from extreme weather events causing flooding or high winds for example.
