According to Chris Austin, a senior marketing manager for the company, Blyncsy can access archived dashcam footage within one minute of recording. Users can then ask the artificial intelligence (AI) -powered platform to analyze the video for specific queries—road damage, sign inventory, obstructions or paint quality, for example.
The platform is being used by New York City DOT (NYCDOT) to ensure crosswalk paint is visible throughout the city, and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey use Blyncsy to conduct road sign inventory. In addition the Hawaii DOT (HDOT) uses Blyncsy to track vegetation encroachment and debris on the state’s roadways.
