According to Jon Litt, president and managing director of the North American division of the company, G&D is a leading provider of KVM solutions for the air traffic control, rail, maritime, entertainment and military sectors and is looking to bring that horizontal expertise to the ITS industry.

“You walk into nearly any air traffic control tower in the world, and you’ll see our KVM solutions in the control room,” Litt said. “We’re looking to expand into the ITS world.”

The company’s PersonalWorkplace-Controller gives personnel in traffic management centers the ability to securely control multiple applications and computers from a single workstation.

Multiple video signals can be displayed on one large monitor or across several screens. Authentication can be granted per individual, per computer or per workstation, and those policies can move with the person as they move to another space in the room. According to Litt, seamlessly moving between applications without having to worry about security or other constraints allows transportation professionals to focus on the task at hand, work efficiently and respond confidently to emergencies.
